Travelpod

I have started a travelblog over on Travelpod, mainly because I like the little widget you can see to the side of these posts.

It will show my route as it happens and any images I link to the blog over there.  Do not be alarmed though, the majority of my posts will still be made here!

But I really love these by Shakespeare. They really hit home today.

This royal throne of kings, this scepter’d isle,

This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,

This other Eden, demi-paradise,

This fortress built by Nature for herself

Against infection and the hand of war,

This happy breed of men, this little world,

This precious stone set in the silver sea,

Which serves it in the office of a wall,

Or as a moat defensive to a house,

So today is yet another day it is wrong to even be slightly proud of my home country and its history – well according to the leaders of my country it is.

Traveller Jon returns…

…to the region he loves the most.  Yes folks, I’ll be off to Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, The Phillipines & Indonesia in a little under 10 months.  Planning has only just begun for this trip, and I am not going to plan too much like I normally do either. Just get there and take things as they come.
