James Bond Island, once known as Khao Phing Kan, was used in the 1974 filming of "The Man With The Golden Gun" - part of the James Bond film series. Its a great day out - and is often combined with cruising through mangrove swamps and another 2 or 3 islands in Phang Nga Bay. Way back when I was severely hungover so missed this excursion when my family came to visit me on a previous sabbatical, , this time round I made sure to do it.
